What is the purpose of this event?
The Tuolumne County Womens Network provides scholarship opportunities for women who have chosen to go back to school after a minimum of a four-year hiatus. These scholarships help fund schooling that will help a woman improve or change her work situation.
How much is admission and what is included?
Speakeasy Soiree passes start at $50 per person. Each pass includes a Speakeasy password, dinner, two drink tickets, a custom beverage container, pearls or a false mustache. Big Spenders (table of eight) are provided a private butler for the evening. Please see our Tickets & Sponsorship Opportunities page for more details on different pricing levels.
Are there sponsorship opportunities?
Yes…and YES! We encourage businesses, groups, clubs and friends to purchase a table or sponsorship opportunity. Your business or group will receive the cat’s pajamas in pampering. Please see our Tickets & Sponsorship Opportunities page for more details on different pricing levels.
What can I expect during this fundraiser event?
Fun, fun and more fun! The Speakeasy Soiree is the berries of fundraisers – not only will there be music and dancing provided by Swing Gitane, but our Master of Ceremonies for the evening is Dan Sokyrka. Local wine will be flowing and our Ciggie Girls will be working the crowd. Wooden nickels are the currency of the day and our mustache contest will be just ducky.
What should I wear?
The 20’s was a time of prohibition, flappers, gangsters, aviators, the women’s suffrage movement and silent film. Famous people of the time included Al Capone, Amelia Earhart, Charlie Chaplin, Valentino, Mary Pickford and Clara Bow. Check out our “What Shall I Wear?” page to give you an idea of how you might want to “get your glad rags on”.
Can I donate items for auction or raffle?
Ab-so-lute-ly, Positively! The Speakeasy Soiree will include a silent auction, balloon pop and a small live auction as part of the evening’s fast paced series of events. We’d be goofy not to accept donations for any of our fundraising opportunities. Contact Speakeasy Chair, Michelle Tuttle at 209-532-9361 to discuss your keen donation item.
Do you need volunteers for this event?
That’s affirmative! If your school or group would like to earn some volunteer hours, we think that’s nifty. Contact Speakeasy Chair, Michelle Tuttle at 209-532-9361…and, thanks! You’re swell!
