Meet Tom Nankival!
Tom is an Iowa native, now in his 37 th year in radio. Born into a radio family, he began his career while still in college and over the course of a few years, worked at virtually every position in the business. In 1995 he took his first job on the sales side, and matriculated first into sales management and then in the role of General Manager in places such as Las Cruces, New Mexico, Jonesboro, Arkansas, Springfield, Illinois and Des Moines, Iowa. Tom and wife Gina two children – Will, who works in IT in his hometown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Isabelle who lives in Sonora with her parents. Tom began his duties at Clarke Broadcasting in early December upon the retirement of longtime General Manager Larry England.
Meet Karen Jensen!
Karen is the longest standin account executive at Clarke Broadcasting…marking 33 years this past May! She began her career as the weather girl on Channel 58, moving on to radio DJ and copy writer then eventually finding her passion in the marketing department. As the top account executive at Clarke Broadcasting, she is the first and only AE to sell over 1 million in radio advertising annually.
Karen graduated from University of the Pacific with a degree in both broadcast journalism and marketing. She’s married to Steve Jensen and together they have two married daughters and three grandchildren.
