January President’s Message
Hau`oli Makahiki Hou! Happy New Year, Tuolumne County Women’s Network!
I hope your holidays were filled with an abundance of love, warmth and good health for you and your `ohana. If you know me, you know that I love the season of giving that comes at the end of the year, as it brings time and space for gratitude. When I reflect on everything that I am grateful for each year, one thing is always at the very top of the list: My people. Above all else, I am grateful for my people - my friends, family, colleagues and neighbors. The people who support and encourage, the people who check in when someone is ill, the people who give their time and treasure to make our community better, the people who lift you up when you’re down and inspire you to keep going. Tuolumne County Women’s Network, you are my people. The phenomenal women in this network have given me all of these things and more since I first became a member more than a decade ago, and I am deeply grateful to have the opportunity to give back to you by serving as your 2022 President.
As you know, our theme for TCWN in 2022 is Ignite the Light. With the challenges we are all facing from the pandemic, in both our personal and professional lives, it is my hope that TCWN is your source for inspiration, motivation and growth. We have gone through many stages and emotions as we’ve navigated Covid times - shutting down, feeling stagnant, pivoting to keep our businesses operating, feeling the weight of uncertainty. With a new year comes the opportunity to start fresh and rediscover what lights us up. I hope you will join us for a year of speakers and programs that will reignite your goals and inspire you to grow. 2022, Ignite the Light. Let’s go!
To kick off our new year, I am so excited to host our 2022 TCWN Board of Directors for our annual Board Retreat this month at Inner Sanctum Cellars Basecamp. We will brainstorm and explore our individual goals for the year and do a deep dive into organization and long term strategy, as well as planning our membership events and meetings for 2022. Please note, our first general meeting of the year will be on February 16th, 2022. There will not be a general meeting in January as the Board Retreat will be taking place.
Stay tuned to our website and social media for upcoming news and events, and watch for some new initiatives and exciting happenings coming soon! (Such as… TCWN hats and apparel with our brand new logo. Woot!). Thank you all for your friendship and support of TCWN. I am beyond excited to walk beside you and do great things together in 2022.
Aloha nui loa,
Nikki Coleman, President
