Gretchen Maciel, Bank of Stockton Community Branch Manager
What is your background?
I was a teller years ago at Sentinel Savings then left to stay home with my Family. As my children got older I went back to banking, went to train in the bay Area to be a Financial Specialist for Wachovia Bank. Wachovia was bought by Wells Fargo and our downtown Branch was divested purchased by Bank of Stockton. I grew from Personal Banking Officer to Branch Manager a couple years after that.
How did you get into this business?
I knew that a major bank was coming to the area and I thought it would be fun to get in on the ground floor. I love banking because of the relationships that are formed.
What are your hobbies?
Skiing, running, travel and gardening. Almost anything outside!
Why do you like the Tuolumne County Women’s Network?
I like the comradery that I’ve seen between the members. I’ve known several members for years. Great women with a passion for what they do.
What is it you like about living up here in the Mother Lode?
The outdoors and the closeness of our community.
Go ahead & brag about yourself….we want to hear it!
I have 5 children, the best thing I have ever done in my life is be a Mom. I’ve worked hard to be successful in balancing both while still saving some time for myself.
